Johnston County Arts Council Continues 2010 Membership Drive
Johnston County, N.C. - Johnston County Arts Council began its annual membership drive on December 7, 2009. Memberships in the Arts Council help strengthen and promote the arts throughout Johnston County. This year members will be offered additional benefits including discounted prices for tickets honored at local theatre groups, performing arts centers and museums who have partnered with the Johnston County Arts Council.
Susan Lassiter, Membership Chairman had this to say about the upcoming year:
"I hope people will join us in our 2010 "Arts for the People, People for the Arts" fundraising campaign and help us celebrate our 38th year of championing cultural arts enrichment for the residents of our county. We're making a change in our fund-raising for 2010. We're combining into one appeal fund-raising for the Artists-in-the-Schools program with fund-raising for all other programs. We offer several different membership categories with special benefits to members."
Memberships to the Johnston County Arts Council begin at $25.00. For more information on supporting the arts in Johnston County through a membership in the Council, please contact Zilphia Adcock, Executive Director at 919.553.1930.
